Naringin is the active ingredient of citrus aurantium extract and grapefruit extract.
At regular temperature, the solubility in water is 0.1%, 75 ℃ at up to 10%. Not soluble in non-polar solvents petroleum ether, ethyl ether, benzene and chloroform.
It is white to light yellow crystalline powder, belonging to flavonoids.

Naringin have the function of anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-cancer, anti-mutagenic, anti-allergic, anti-ulcer, analgesic, hypotensive activity.
Naringin also can lower blood cholesterol and reduce the formation of blood clots, improve local micro-circulation and nutrient supply, prevention and treatment of brain vascular disease.
